LavaCon was a great event for product and support content people. For more creative marketing/web content, I would look elsewhere. I attended a lot of sessions but unfortunately realized 10-15 minute...s in that the session wasn’t applicable to my job title. I talked to other people in similar roles who felt the same way. The energy was really good. The food provided was awesome and I loved the location/hotel choice! For folks writing content for support documentation, this is a perfect conference. LavaCon was an amazing opportunity to network with content strategists, information developers, and architects from all around. The workshops and sessions were very valuable. We had some brilliant spe...akers, with sessions for all facets of content development and management. My colleague and I were able strategically attend multiple sessions to benefit from the variety of workshops. It was reassuring and validating to hear about the value of structured content development. The main theme was prefaced around content strategy. Many sessions focused on the importance of bridging content silos within an organization to improve overall customer experience. I’m looking forward to the sharing the session recording with my information development team. Food was great. New Orleans was a great cultural experience. Overall, it was a great conference.
