An exciting event for tourism professionals
It was my first year attending ITB and I enjoyed the experience very much. There were a lot of connections to make with tourism businesses around the world and many professional development opportunities through the long list of seminars available to attend. It was an overwhelming experience as a first--time attendee, due to the sheer scope of the event, but I would definitely attend again in the future.Translate

The profile turn out was very good
It is a good opportunity - but i think the sessions needs to be better managed. I fear that it should not phase out like other marts around the globeTranslate

eifficient, if you prepare
ITB is an annual event where I meet colleagues from around the world. great networking. more important is the efficiency to have meetings with people from any geografical direction - it would normally take me roughly a month to get done. The presentations and speeches vary from really great to udderly poor. as always. negative aspects: meeting rooms/cabins to rent? wifi? a damn app which works properly. the organizers focus to much on the conventional aspects of a trade fair but lack to service and convey with state of the art tools. on- and offline. oh btw: the catering offering is terrible. luckily there are good exhibitors like the austrians who serve great food & drinx.Translate

Great business opportunities but the location is a nightmare
Great business opportunities but the buildings and the layout of Berlin Messe , are pretty much a nightmare. Parking, sitting areas , meeting aeras, food areas, all of it truly terrible. To connect my mobile phone and my laptop i had to go to a restaurant 3 blocks away from the Messe buildings. You cant eat, cant sit, cant connect, cant work anywhere really. The idea to put events in between the exhibitors might look atractive at first but the noise if you are close by having a meeting is totally unaceptable. If you dont care about all of this and you are there for straight business i guess its a top event, since literally everyone important in the travel industry you can find there one way or the other.Translate
