IMEX America is taking place between the 10th-12th September at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Las Vegas. It is the leading exhibition in the US for the incentive travel, meetings and event sectors. The stats from the 2017 event are very impressive and illustrate why IMEX America is worth attending. Last year there were 12,389 participants excluding exhibitors. There were 3,390 exhibiting companies from more than 150 countries. There were 60,000 appointments that were pre-scheduled which illustrates what an important networking event it is. There were 3,286 buyers from 61 different countries and 2,566 attendees from 62 different countries. Organisers are confident that this year’s ...show will surpass the success of last year’s show. IMEX America is known for its brilliant speakers and there are over 180 educational events happening over the three days. The educational aspect of IMEX America is really important and it is broken down into eight segments which are outlined below. Campfires: You get the chance to interact with speakers in small informal sessions after a talk Hot-topic tables: There are moderated round table discussions where you and other attendees can discuss topics relevant to you. Expert Clinics: These are in-depth sessions with speakers where attendees get to push them on the topics they spoke about. Research Pod: Industry experts will be giving talks in small group sessions about the evolving and emerging trends in the sector Play Room: This is a space where attendees get to use technology which helps meetings to be more interactive. IMEX 2019, This year was simply engaging on all fronts. From my arrival experience to my departure taxi ride, I was in awww of all the amazing suppliers and planners at this years show. IMEX America is consistently one of the best events/meetings exhibitions and conferences in the world. They continually strive to be more inclusive and try new things and experiences. Plus it's one of... the most international exhibitions in the US. I love the hosted buyer/regular attendee model. It assures exhibitors of appointments ahead of time as well as people walking down the aisles. I highly recommend visiting/exhibiting. Read more

This was my first year at the IMEX America Expo. I was with the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts as an exhibitor. This made it difficult, thus to be able to fully experience the expo; but from an exhib...itor point of view, everything was great! IMEX America is always a must-go event for me as a faculty who is teaching and researching event management. This year, I attended the faculty engagement program along with more than 50 faculty member...s from different universities across the globe. 6 students from Metropolitan State University of Denver attended the Future Leaders Forum with me and we all were highly satisfied great quality educational programs as well as networking opportunities with other attendeees and exhibitors.
