This year the theme of Social Media Week is entitled “Closer”, an in depth discussion about a perceived clash between community and individualism. As far as Social Media Conferences go SMWLA is made up of over one hundred lectures, interviews, panel sessions and workshops.The conference has two different stages, including a 500 person theatre and a second stage that has a capacity of 120, coworking lounges, speaker AMA lounge, VR showcase, technology vendors, food trucks serving lunch (included) for all attendees and an opening party to kick-off the week’s activities. The conference is attended by people working in media, marketing, entertainment and technology.

Great opportunity for knowledge gathering and networking

Social Media Week is a great opportunity to network with potential new clients as well as employees. There are a wonderful range of panels and presentations by top industry leaders and it is very well... organized. Voir plus

Great Event! Looking Forward to 2020.

2019 was my first year attending Social Media Week LA! It's a great event with a hip feel. A lot of great speakers. A majority of the sessions (if not all) seemed B2C focused - I hope in the years to ...come they feature some B2B focused ones as not everyone is in the B2C space. Great speakers from well-known companies. Overall a great event. Looking forward to the next one! Voir plus

Better than last year,

No Tinder, which is good, but I don't appreciate cannabis finding its way into everything. The Instagram Stories masterclasses were good, but I did miss being able to watch sessions from the main stag...e while working in the co-working area (which seemed very cramped this year). Voir plus

Overall Good Conference

I think that overall this was a great conference. I've been to quite a few in the past and I did like a lot of the sessions that were scheduled. I do think the conference would benefit from providing ...more information on the skill/knowledge level each session is intended for as that would help with deciding which sessions would be most valuable to attend. I think there is an improvement to be made regarding the 'networking' breaks. These didn't really feel like networking opportunities as most people kept to themselves, were working and/or were just generally not open to talking to and meeting new people. I think if there was a way to facilitate more interaction and networking that'd be great! Overall a great couple of days. Voir plus

Fantastic LA Conference Experience!

Social Media Week LA was one of the better conferences I've attended in the past year or so. Having had the privilege to speak on a panel, I was able to see the inner workings of the conference and hi...ghly recommend attending next year. Can't express enough how beneficial it was for any brand to attend as there were many informative panels to attend but also the opportunity to connect personally with the speakers post their session was a unique advantage.
