Slush 2025

I attended Slush 2019 in Helsinki (Finland) for the very first time to present OCEANPLASTIK, our new impact startup to clean up and recycle (ocean) plastic waste using decentralized and mobile technol...ogies. It was a very productive and exhausting event but I was extremely happy to be there. “It was for me personally a real confirmation that we are on the right track and that we are not the only ones who are concerned and trying to do something to battle the global plastic pollution problem. The first time, therefore, impressed by the scale, I realized that I need to plan ahead all the activities. Of course, we were preparing, we had a side-event: presentation of Latvian startup-map, wit...h dealroom, but agreed everything 2 weeks before the start of Slush! Few planned meetings in the application and participation in sections, it was necessary to start earlier and can be done more efficiently. In general, the team achieved their goals, but we have an understanding of where to improve the results. Voir plus

As every conference, the output is only as good as your preparation and organisation in advance to fix meetings on site. During the days everyone is like busy and you usually only speak a few minutes ...with people. In general: Top 5 tech conference in Europe in any case! Voir plus

Slush is a great place if you have a plan. If you don’t and you try to absorb everything, you will loose yourself. The opening ceremony was not so great this year. Especially compared to last year.

I have participated as the volunteer in 2019. First, concerning the organization - it was amazing. Everything was well prepared and seems to be that all workers, event organizers and volunteers worked... together as a Swiss clock. In terms of volunteering experience - it was super cool. The volunteering at Slush, meant to be the part of this fabulous event and secondly to work in a great team. As a volunteers, we also had an opportunity to network with different people and do our job with pleasure at the same time. I would definitely attend next Slush event again. Voir plus

I'm frequently going to Slush and organize delegations from Israel. It is still great place to get what's going on in the Nordics/Finland but it seems that it is getting a bit roo big and start losing... the spirit it had few years ago. Too many things are happening outside the venue and it also the contact with Slush before the event (for organizing Boothe's, delegations, side events etc) was too challenging Voir plus
