(borrowing from my recent post--I was truly delighted with the entire event and am telling everyone I know that they need to attend next year!) Last week Conex was held in beautiful Toronto, where I ...attended the event for the first time. Let’s say this won’t be the last! It’s an event full of great experiences, on a scale that brings speaker talent, and conversations with new marketers, in reach. With about 750-ish people in attendance, everything felt very approachable and, well, almost personal. Starting with the venue being at the Royal Conservatory of Music and their meeting halls. Talk about inspiring creativity! The speaker roster was fabulous with access to the powerhouse marketing lineup of: Jay Baer, Randy Frisch, Neil Patel, Ann Handley, Mark Schaefer, and Robert Rose among others. These are the people who have shaped and guided my thinking as I’ve traveled the road of content marketing wisdom. They are worth reading, following, and seeing their presentations every day of the week. Nice variety of breakout sessions and speakers, and great updates on new product enhancements from Uberflip, Vidyard, and Demandbase as well as the opportunity to speak to their experts who were on hand to answer questions and spend time talking with you. Conex was an incredible event for content marketers: 50+ speakers and some of the biggest names in content marketing, including Ann Handley and Robert Rose. Conex was a great opportunity to take a step back from our daily jobs and put things in perspective, think strategically and get inspired!
