Growing Pains in Denver, but Improving
Outdoor Retailer Summer Market remains as one of the best trade shows that I have attended. The biggest challenge it faces is still adapting to its new location in Denver. Because of the size and layout of the Colorado Convention Center, the show seems way more dispersed and disjointed than it was in SLC - even with the pavilions. Perhaps the biggest issue is the way the street level areas are used and organized. Navigating the show on this level is difficult, which is a shame for the newer brands and exhibitors on that level. That being said, It did appear that Venture Out was busy during the 2019 show. I also feel that the Colorado Convention center is still getting used to a trade show of this magnitude and have not yet figured it out. There is no doubt that Denver is a better location and despite some logistical issues, the show was very impressive. I look forward to attending again in the future.

Very helpful as a reporter covering the outdoor industry
I was able to meet with more than a dozen companies over two days and get a deeper understanding of the issues affecting the sector.

Outdoor Retailer- Is it worth the trip?
The answer is yes. From new gear to potential new clients, we enjoyed getting to see old friends, but also meeting new folks at small brands that we hadn't heard of yet. We are wondering if bike brands will commit to the November show as it's both expensive to exhibit and accommodations nearby are costly.

Booth location for Chinese companies not good
Well, the event is nice. But just for Chinese companies, our booth location not on the main lane. We hardly see any pass by, even for visitors. Hence, we didn't meet our business line client at all. We can gather over hundreds business name card at HK fair. But this show, we only gathered around 20 name cards. How is that sound to you guys? Well, I'm not coming back again, if we still get booth location like that. Thanks anyway.

Great Show, Lots Of Traffic, Super Nice People
I always look forward to Outdoor Retailer. The outdoor industry has a great vibe, and I've made many good friends - and done a lot of business - there over the years.
