Ideal Home Show 2026

Not what I was expecting at all! Never been before, I was expecting lots of set ups of rooms, windows/ doors, garden ideas, lighting etc. This would be comparable to a garden show where there are show... gardens dotted about with ideas and inspiration everywhere! However what was at this show was 1 ‘house’ with a room of each variety set up. Nothing else to see in terms of set ups anywhere else. The ideal home show this year was very disappointing, it was quite busy but the traders didn't seem to be doing much trade. The house was tiny no upstairs, it was compact and nicely furnished but no...t as good as previous years. The food was disgusting the hog roast was served on chips, it was cold the the meat was dry and inedible with a coke it was £14 that went in the bin, sold by D L events management there wasn't enough seating. The massage chairs was £15 for 15 minutes, a con previous years it wasn't 15 mins but free. This is a 1st we didn't buy anything or see anything interesting. The holiday lodges were really cute. This was the worst ideal home show and probably won't go again. Uninspiring displays downstairs and upstairs it was like a cheap market. Whole stalls to showcase a vegetable peeler and/or chopper. Some stalls I have seen in cheap markets around town. I will not be... returning.Read more

I was very disappointed this year as I hoped being as it was an ideal home and garden show they would be something actually for the garden and there wasn’t there was plenty of garden furniture but the...re was no plants flowers basket except with nothing. The only thing there was was a few pots you could purchase And a couple of tools and that was it. There wasn’t really anything that was particular you and exciting it was the same old thing mops, shamus, handbags , teeth whitening, plastic covers for your containers and such like I would however say it’s always nice to visit the food hall but again even that wasn’t very Inspiring real disappointment I did expect at least being as it was a spring show there would be stuff for your garden other than garden furniture just a load of beds and sofas and the usual hot tubs, ectRead more

Don't bother going. It was a load of tack. We will never go again

Went with my man as we are both looking for ideas as we refurb our homes. Shocking. So mediocre and disappointing. More choice on our failing high streets than in this environment. What do teeth whi...tening stalls have to do with Ideal homes? There were a couple of those. Wigs? Yup, bling jewellery, festival clothing.... was I in the wrong place? Also billed as a food festival - the Greek stuff we had was appalling quality and massively overpriced. Only the cool temperature was authentic. There was one house built inside the venue - eco living. Big take away from that was to buy stuff on eBay. Had I not gone in such delightful company it would have been awful. Read more

I’ve always wanted to visit so we did this year. I can honestly say it was a huge let down. It was more like a rubbish market selling tat upstairs to cheap and nasty chrome bling pictures downstairs. ...Some of the garden displays were good but not worth going just for those! We went in for opening at 10am and left at 12. We had seen it all! The first thing that greeted us on entry was cat food 🙄. Then there was dog food. Nothing wrong with either but not what I expected to see at an ideal home show. We were then pestered to donate to a charity we already donate to and then felt awful when we didn’t “sign up”.It wasn’t a comfortable or welcoming experience. We travelled from Cumbria especially to visit and I won’t be going again. Save your money if you haven’t already bought tickets. Read more
