Another Citrix Synergy has come and gone. It is always a great time to see and hear what is new in technology and where we are headed for the future. It started with the keynote speeches from David He...nshall, PJ Hough, and Calvin Hsu. They talked about employee disengagement and how Citrix Workspace could help keep your employees engaged. We heard from Microsoft CEO Natya Nadella. We saw how Citrix cooperates and works with so many partners allowing you to interoperate with many partners in many areas. We learned how Citrix Intelligent Traffic Management allowed CBS to stream the Super Bowl to the largest audience ever. And we saw the impressive list of updates that had been released, and were in the pipeline to be released. The Super Sessions were excellent. Madeline Albright talked about technology and how we had bad actors in both the public and the private sector. This new threat to world security and efforts needed to protect it. We also heard from Erik Weyenmayer in what is one of the best sessions I have ever attended. He was truly inspirational not just in discussing his accomplishments, but in how he took such pride in the accomplishments of the people around him. His remarks about how reaching the summit was not the greatest achievement, but rather in using what you had experienced to elevate others that was truly inspiring. There were plenty of breakout sessions. The Synergy Park was hopping. Many of the vendors had new products to exhibit and add value to your digital workspace. And of course, the most important event of all, Anton van Pelt, Jacob Rutski, and myself presenting at the Ask the CTP session on Citrix SD-WAN in the Synergy Park The conference was ended with a closing night party that was more like a summer fair. I was unable to attend, but the Mini Figs had a good time. What parts did you like the best? Now I’ll just have to bide my time until next year at Citrix Synergy 2020 in Orlando, Fl.
