It's a free event to attend, and as the adage goes, if it's free - you're the product. And that's very true here. It feels like an amateur AI event - not in an insulting way - but it's not really prof...essional. Every single stage has a severe lack of seating. People overcrowded, having to stand for a keynote or even worse, being turned away. It's a sad state of affairs and not the norm at professional conferences. The worst example was at the AI/Business Impact arena. It consisted of four rows of 12 seats. What's even the point of having keynotes for 40 people?! It's difficult to envisage just how pathetically small this is without witnessing it. There is no excuse because the same situation occurred at every stage last year.. And this year appears to be even worse. Positives - there were a few interesting talks (notably Spotify founder Chris Barton). But overall ignore the hype, this is a very small AI conference whose main focus is on data warehousing, storage and energy solutions. Read more
