Animethon is a Japanese Animation ("anime") themed celebration held every year in Edmonton and began in 1994 by the Banzai Anime Klub of Alberta (BAKA), with the purpose of advancing Japanese anime. It turned into a triumph by showing surely understood and progressively cloud anime to groups of onlookers, and has since developed to what it is presently. Today, Animethon is displayed by the not-for-profit Alberta Society for Asian Popular Arts (ASAPA).
