Packaging is our reason for being. We create networking events, share content and build synergies amongst professionals to lead the future of the sector. We work tirelessly to keep you up to date on everything happening in the industry. With the participation of 843 direct exhibitors from 24 countries that occupied a total of 39,257 m2 net of exhibition in Pavilions 1, 2 and 3, Hispack exhibited different technologies, materials and packaging solutions taking into account the entire life cycle of the packaging and its interconnections with other production processes and with the supply chain. More than 1,400 brands have been represented at the fair. The percentages of growth in both the num...ber of exhibitors and the surface occupied with respect to 2015 were 39% and 26% respectively. The exhibitors have been satisfied by the quality of the contacts made at the fair and the visit of customers from all over Spain with specific projects, which will undoubtedly generate new sales in the coming months. The participating firms have also highlighted the variety of professional profiles among professionals attending all types of productive sectors. This double exhibition platform also increased its internationality, with 12% of the total number of visitors coming from abroad, mainly from Portugal, which accounts for 20% of foreign visitors, followed by Italy, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Andorra and Poland. Outside of Europe, the most numerous professionals have come from Mexico, Algeria, Turkey, Morocco, Colombia, USA and Tunisia. It confirms, then, the convening power of the show in the Mediterranean area and Latin America. In the field of internationalisation, it is worth highlighting the more than 1,000 business meetings scheduled between the exhibitors and the buyers invited by the organisation through commercial delegations and inverse missions from 15 countries coordinated by AMEC in order to help boost exports of materials and Spanish packaging technology. The president of Hispack 2018, Javier Riera-Marsá, underlined "the business climate, the atmosphere of optimism and the intense activity developed in the stands that confirms Hispack as the essential event to boost the Spanish packaging industry."
