Speaking as a third-time exhibitor, Future Stores 2019 was once again a very well organised event. There were a diverse range of retailers from the UK and mainland Europe attending the show and the ne...tworking breaks gave us suppliers a chance to connect with them. This year, there seemed to be more of a focus on speciality fashion retail whereas our core competency is more aligned to larger tier 1 level retailers, especially in the grocery segment. That said, there were a number of retailers present who we had targeted prior to the event and we were able to connect with the majority. Personally, I think the event should probably have been held in Central London, especially to attract visitors from overseas. I don't think enough was made of the chosen venue - the exhibition hall had no view of the pitch for example and as a result, we could have been anywhere in the world. The pitch-side party was pretty good and actually could have been 30 minutes longer and the quality of catering was extremely high. Read more
