At MarTech, we cross-pollinate the best ideas and latest innovations across marketing, technology, and management. But more importantly, we reveal the beautiful entanglements between them. MarTech is a tech conference for marketers and marketing conference for technologists. Management, as a discipline, is an integral and essential part of the program.

### First Time Attending — 3.8/5

As my first year, I didn't know what to expect. I thought it might be like other conferences I have been to and I was wrong. In some ways it was great. The fact that the two main session areas were in the expo hall, so going back and forth was easy, plus convenient during breaks to visit the booths around there - this was a huge plus. The options of sessions (even on the Expo+ pass) was a great combination. All the staff was nice and helpful. The food during breaks was very well done and abundant. 

My biggest challenge was that I am a 'B2C' guy and pretty much everything was B2B. It was still worth going, but I did not find many great networking connections that I walked away with. Most of the booths did not cater to me. But that is fine, I know I was in the minority. And while it was a fun concept, the speed networking event did not go very well, but could be improved with a few changes.

Overall, great conference and I would highly recommend it for anyone who is in the B2B space.

I'm biased, of course, but as a 10+ year veteran of the marketing technology industry and profession, I find that *I* learn a tremendous amount from the speakers who present at this event. Real practitioners and expert analysts/consultants, not thinly veiled vendor pitches.
