IFA: The world’s most important technology marketplace This year, IFA set a new standard by completely selling out 161,200 square meters of show floor space to 1,814 exhibitors, confirming IFA’s role as the leading showcase for the global technology industry. IFA 2018 has not only hosted more innovation and product launches than any previous event, it also presented more digital lifestyle products in one place than any other show worldwide. IFA, an innovation accelerator IFA in Berlin presents the latest products and innovations in the heart of Europe’s most important regional market. Only IFA offers such a comprehensive overview of the international market and attracts the attention of in...ternational trade visitors each year from more than 100 countries. IFA is the main meeting place for key retailers, buyers, and experts from the industry and the media. IFA 2018 took place at the Messe Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 31 August - 5 September. In addition, IFA Global Markets, Europe’s largest B2B sourcing platform, was held from 2 - 5 September at STATION-Berlin. IFA Global Markets enhanced the information and exhibitions offered for professionals and industry experts in a 20,000-square-meter exhibition ground. This year’s IFA provided again an unparalleled stage for innovation: IFA NEXT. The successful concept of this innovation hub hosted again in Hall 26 has been this year significantly expanded. Together startups, research laboratories, universities, and established companies introduced tomorrow’s ideas, products, and solutions in the field of consumer electronics and home appliances. The IFA Keynotes, IFA+ Summit and the IFA Hosted Conferences have also been held in Hall 26.
