I learned a ton from the speakers and the vendors. And it's always get to make connections.

Sessions were informative with knowledgeable speakers. Exhibition hall was nicely done and not over crowded .

The SHRM Talent Conference had some incredible speakers and it was a great learning event for me. However, the venue itself was very disappointing.. the first day we had to wait over 45 mins in line t...o get lunch and then rush back to the conference. Not many options to eat and many restaurants were closed. I think SHRM should have offered lunch to remove the stress of waiting and getting back in time for the next speaker. I also think they should have had Josh Miller, Gen Z speaker in a much larger space. It was unfortunate to hear that many attendees could not hear his presentation as they wouldn't let anymore people into the room. He was by far the best presentation and should have had the chance to speak to even more attendees. With the conference being held in Nashville, we also thought there should have been some sort of concert or event in the evening, especially with all the marketing and verbiage being "talent is everything" with a picture of a person holding a guitar. Also, the registration on the first day of the event was upsetting- I was unable to get my badge and they weren't even able to find my registration. They told me to come back later to get my badge, I did and then they said we cannot print them, come back tomorrow. I then attended the exhibit with no opportunity to have my badge scanned by the exhibitors. The logistics of this event were poorly planned but the speakers were fabulous and the event was a great learning experience for me. Read more

SHRM events are typically industry standards for any HR related topic. This one was no exception. I feel SHRM should innovate more to create more engaging format and content
