### A pragmatic focus on the Future — 5/5

IBC is a world-leading trade show and conference where the focus is firmly on future trends, with a practical lens rather than a fixation with “shiny objects”. From emerging and proven new “broadcast” technologies to helpful conversations around shifting audience behaviours and business models, IBC has you covered.

### First time, hope it won't be my last — 4/5

Loved it. The Adobe Experience was my highlight. Excellent host city and location. So easy to get around.

### Well organised. Good spread of speakers & topics. — 4/5

Good meeting ground for the M&E Tech world. IBC needs to make the conference sessions less expensive. Not even one session was 2/3rd full this time.

### IBC is a must go show in the tv wirkd — 4.2/5

Great show where the industry gather every year. I would like to see more of Silicon Valley organization attending as it represents key aspects of the future of this industry.

### Less divercity within Cable/Sattelite/IPTV industry, but come closer to CES every year — 4.6/5

*By Pavel Gurov*

It was a great show this year. We (Zodiac Systems) had a huge setup with 4 independent demo locations + some more demos available at our partners (MediaKind, Viaccess Orca, etc.) booths. For us it was bigger, than the last year, we had really busy first three days with a lot of inquiries and meetings.
IBC organization was exceptional as always, but as a person who worked on a setup last three years, I would prefer to have an extra installation day right before the show starts. Nowadays, IBC put carpeting a night before the show, which gives lots of headache to people who works on equipment and software configuration and testing. I would call that day "Dry run day". That means, that all construction and carpeting should be finished a day before the current and the last day before the show will be exclusively for the final preparation, demo dry runs, preparing/making marketing materials, social networking, internal meetings and so on. So all the exhibitors could spent some time together in more relaxed atmosphere focusing on upcoming 5 day event. I guess it will make all the show much more productive and successful for everyone.
Also, I would say, that IBC came a little closer to CES show in Las Vegas, introducing all that innovations, technologies and new hardware and software solutions for all the aspects of Broadcasting (not only) industry.
See you all there in 2020!

### Combined conference & exhibits a BAD idea... — 3/5

*By Chaitanya Chinchlikar*

While there may be a couple of days of overlap, but a complete overlap for the conference & exhibits are a bad idea. Also, the conference is quite high priced causing very limited participation. Several sessions in the Auditorium & Forum were 60%+ empty... Not a good sign.
The show floor had some interesting showcases but no major 'releases'...

### biggest and best IBC yet — 5/5

*By Jason Gish*

This was the biggest and best IBC I've seen. It can be a bit overwhelming but preset meetings and a good strategy really helps keep things manageable. There are so many opportunities to network, so many parties and events, and so many great speakers at the show and at nearby events related to IBC. Our participation in, spend, and attendance at IBC grows every year. We bring more and more of our team in order to keep up with all of the various agendas we have and meetings.
