## Description

Design Miami/is the worldwide discussion for design. Each reasonable unites the most compelling gatherers, gallerists, designers, caretakers and faultfinders from around the globe in festivity of design culture and business. 

Happening close by the Art Basel fairs in Miami, USA every December and Basel, Switzerland every June, Design Miami/has turned into the chief scene for gathering, displaying, examining and making collectible design. 

Each show offsets elite business openings with dynamic social programming, making energizing coordinated efforts with designers and design foundations, boards and addresses with illuminating presences from the universes of design, engineering, craftsmanship and style, and novel commissions from the world's top developing and built up designers and modelers. 

By persistently extending and improving its program, Design Miami/looks to not just fulfill the interest for a top of the line design reasonable, yet in addition to expand familiarity with present day and contemporary design, fuel the market for collectible design, and give an energizing yet open goal for authorities and lovers alike.

Year after year I travel from Chicago to attend Design Miami/Basel.  The reason I like to attend is because Design Miami/Basel brings people together and people come from around the globe.  It's the atmosphere and intermingling of visual arts, design, music, fashion, people that make me want to be there to develop relationships and buy art work.
One of the most significant things to me is the level of outreach Design Miami/Basel has done in communities such as OverTown, Little Haiti, Coconut Grove and etc.  This type of outreach allows for people who may not have access to the arts regardless of economic and social categories to have a participatory immersion experience in the arts.   

### Why would you miss one of the greatest weeks in the 305? — 5/5

Design Miami/Basel gets better each year; and I can vouch for that, as I've attended many shows since its Miami Beach debut in 2002.  Between the beautiful weather, tip top art and design exhibits and fairs, panels, and parties, the 305 is on fire for a solid week.  There is so much to do, see, learn, absorb and buy at all price points, that you'll need a vacation after leaving; or an extension of your hotel reservation to recharge.
