This year’s Conext conference takes place in the bustling city of Lille in the Hauts-de-France region between the 23rd to the 25th of October. The conference focuses on the ever-growing importance of consumer intelligence in today’s commercial world. At this year’s Conext conference there will be 200 exhibitors, 10,000 visitors, more than 100 conferences and 3 keynote speakers. The range of expertise in relation to consumer intelligence on show is astounding. The conference is broken up into three themes over its three-day duration. These include Retail Intelligence, Marketing and Data and Consumer Intelligence. Five major topics are discussed over the three days including Data, Commerce,... Supply Chain and the Lab (looks at new innovations and trends occurring in the world of global consumer intelligence). The reason this conference and the topics covered are so pertinent is because today’s shoppers are increasingly connected and informed. Consumers order products online that can be as far as 8000 kilometres away but receive them in record times. The increased usage of smartphones and digital innovation has put consumers well ahead of the curve.
